What Sets Vector Workshops Apart
01 / Structured Curriculum
Vector workshops are built around deep skill acquisition, not surface-level exposure. We focus on deep-dive themes (e.g., Pressure Passing, Guard Retention) with a structured multi-day progression designed to permanently upgrade your game.
02 / Tech-Enabled Feedback
We don't just watch; we analyze. Benefit from video-based breakdown of your sparring sessions to improve your skills and monitor your progress throughout the week.
03 / Take-Home Expertise
The training doesn't stop when you fly home. Every participant gets access to professional video-recorded sessions from the retreat to revisit and cement the skills learned when they’re back home.
Train with purpose. Recover in paradise.

At a Vector workshop, you will level up on a specific skill or technique, not just try out a variety of random moves. You will return to your home mats with a noticeable new edge. We blend elite-level Jiu-Jitsu instruction with authentic Costa Rican "Pura Vida" vibes. Expect technical precision, practical applications, and a welcoming community atmosphere—all while training steps from stunning beaches and incredible nature.

Workshops range from fundamentals-focused (lower intensity, emphasis on technique) to more dynamic sessions with drilling and light rolling. We prioritize safety and progression over exhaustion. You train at your own pace—we encourage listening to your body, taking breaks, and asking for modifications. Beginners and those returning from breaks do great here.

The closest international airport is Liberia (LIR – Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport), about 1–1.5 hours away by car. Shuttle service from the airport to Vector’s partner hotels is provided as part of the workshop registration. Some attendees fly into Costa Rica’s other international airport, San José (SJO), and drive or shuttle (around 4–5 hours) to Playa Flamingo.

Workshops are generally open to adults 18+. Minors (under 18) may attend with a parent/guardian present and prior approval. Some events are family-friendly or offer youth sessions—check the event description. All participants must follow our safety and etiquette guidelines.

We strongly recommend travel and medical insurance that covers adventure activities and sports. While we maintain a safe training environment with proper hygiene and first-aid on site, accidents can happen in any physical activity. Costa Rica has good medical facilities nearby, but insurance provides peace of mind.
-
Most multi-day workshops include dedicated open mat or rolling sessions so you can apply what you’ve learned. We keep it friendly and controlled, with emphasis on technique over competition. Partners are matched by size/skill when possible for the best experience.
