Vector is seeking a dedicated Kids BJJ Instructor to join our international coaching team and help shape the next generation of martial artists. This is an opportunity to work in a world-class facility, right in the heart of Playa Flamingo, and play a key role in building one of Costa Rica’s strongest youth programs.
Requirements
Minimum rank: Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Black Belt preferred).
Certified in at least 3 kids instructor courses, including:
WinnersBJJ Instructor Course (mandatory)
Metodología BJJ Course (mandatory)
One additional kids-specific certification.
Proven experience teaching children ages 4–12.
Bilingual (English & Spanish).
Passion for youth development through martial arts.
Team player with a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
Lead engaging, safe, and age-appropriate BJJ classes for kids 4–12.
Design and deliver structured, progressive, and fun lesson plans.
Work closely with our top-tier coaching staff to uphold Vector’s standards.
Support youth camps, retreats, and special events.
Communicate clearly with parents about student progress and growth.
Plan kids retreats and camps for local and visiting guests.

At Vector Academy, we are building Costa Rica’s premier performance and martial arts institute, purpose-built to help athletes and community members thrive. We’re searching for a world-class Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our international team and drive physical preparation for athletes ranging from everyday members to competitive martial artists.
Requirements
Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Sports Science, Kinesiology, or a related field (preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered).
Recognized strength & conditioning certification such as CSCS (NSCA), NASM PES, or equivalent.
CPR and First Aid certification (required, or obtained within 3 months of hire).
Additional certifications in sports performance, mobility, nutrition, or recovery (preferred but not required).
Professional Experience
3+ years of applied strength & conditioning or athletic performance coaching experience.
Experience training a range of populations, from everyday members to competitive or aspiring athletes.
Background collaborating with other coaches, trainers, or allied health professionals.
Prior work in martial arts, combat sports, or functional training environments a plus.
Technical Competencies
Strong knowledge of strength, power, speed, endurance, and recovery programming.
Ability to use evidence-based methods and track athlete/member progress.
Familiarity with performance or recovery tools such as HRV monitoring, load tracking, or VBT (preferred, but not required).
Comfortable adapting training plans to a diverse member base (youth, adults, athletes, expats, locals).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred; English fluency required.

To support our members beyond the gym, we are seeking an experienced Nutrition Coach to provide expert guidance that helps clients achieve their health, performance, and lifestyle goals.
Role Overview
The Nutrition Coach will work with Vector members through one-on-one consultations — either on a recurring monthly plan or as individual sessions. This is a part-time, flexible role, ideal for an established nutritionist or dietitian who wants to expand their practice within a high-performance training environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individualized nutrition consultations for Vector members, focusing on performance, recovery, weight management, and healthy lifestyle habits.
Conduct initial assessments (dietary history, goals, preferences, challenges) and design personalized nutrition strategies.
Offer follow-up support through monthly coaching sessions and/or one-time consultations.
Collaborate with Vector coaches to ensure nutrition guidance aligns with members’ training programs.
Educate members with practical resources (meal plans, shopping lists, habit-building tools, etc.) that fit their lifestyle.
Stay current with best practices in sports nutrition, wellness, and behavior change.
Qualifications
Certified Nutritionist, Registered Dietitian, or equivalent professional certification.
Experience providing nutrition coaching in fitness, athletic, or wellness settings (preferred).
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with diverse clients.

To support our members’ performance and long-term health, we are seeking an experienced Sports Massage Therapist to provide on-site massage therapy sessions.
Role Overview
The Sports Massage Therapist will deliver targeted massage therapy to Vector members by appointment, focusing on recovery, injury prevention, and overall wellness. This is a part-time, flexible role, ideal for a professional massage therapist looking to expand their client base within a high-performance training environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide sports, deep tissue, and recovery-focused massage sessions tailored to each member’s needs.
Help athletes and members improve mobility, reduce soreness, and enhance recovery between training sessions.
Maintain a professional, welcoming environment in Vector’s dedicated treatment area.
Collaborate with Vector coaches to align recovery treatments with members’ training goals.
Manage client records as needed (session notes, special considerations).
Educate members on the role of massage in performance, recovery, and long-term wellness.
Qualifications
Certified/licensed massage therapist with training in sports massage, deep tissue, and recovery modalities.
Experience working with athletes or in fitness/wellness environments (preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
